The Institute for Geophysical Research is a collaborative effort of three University of Alberta Departments: Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Physics and Mathematics. The Mandate of the Institute is to advance geophysical studies at the University, and to promote training and information sharing in the community.

The Dr. Roy Dean Hibbs competition for the Student Conference Travel Awards is open to graduate students who are engaged in geophysical research in the Departments of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences and Physics at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Roy Hibbs Memorial Graduate Scholarship
Deadline: March 30, 2012
This scholarship is open to students enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program in Physics, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences or Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta who are engaged in geophysical research. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of strong academic performance.
